Upon arrival in the islet there is an entrance fee of Php500 up to 3 people only, excess heads will be Php100 each. Quite expensive yet it will surely be a worthwhile visit. Because aside from the super fine white sand surrounding the islet, the place also possesses a peaceful ambiance perfect for relaxation. There are small cottages offered at range of Php300-Php500, no rooms available. It is also advisable to bring your own food since the foods offered there are quite expensive. There are no other activities could be done in the place except swimming and enjoying the view of the sea and the sky. Don’t ever miss to take pictures too.
The Fort Kota Park is a historical site located in Madridejos, Cebu. This is well-known because of the ancient stone structure found inside the park. According to history, the camp was built in 1790’s (Spanish Era). It was used by the locals to protect themselves from pirates and to the Spaniards, and also serves as their watchtower given its strategic location at the northernmost tip of the island. In 1950’s it became a public cemetery, and evolve into a park.
Past the fort, but still inside the park, is a narrow beachfront with a concrete bridge connecting to a watch-balcony from afar. There you can perfectly see the sunset and the rising of the moon if it is full-moon.
